Blue Hawaii...

We visited one of my all time favorite places Shangri La...owned by Doris Duke and now the Honolulu Museum of Art. Doris Duke was a wealthy socialite in the 1930s, and was one of the wealthiest people in the world at the time. She was a very adventurous woman and loved to travel. On her honeymoon around the world she traveled to the middle east and fell in love with Islamic art. On her way home she stopped in Honolulu, Hawaii and decided she wanted to build a home there. The home is called Shangri La, it has one of the world's leading collections of Islamic art. As she was building and transforming Shangri La it took on a different purpose for her. She wanted to be able to share her love of Islamic art and her beautiful home, so that is what she did. Shangri La is now a museum tour. I highly recommend you go and see Shangri La. It will inspire you!

Outfit One:

This dress is so good...I love it so much. It's the perfect summer dress. In the evening I put a plum cardigan over the dress and buttoned it up and it looked fabulous. Zimmermann did an awesome job picking this pattern. Take a look at the Zimmermann collection at Anthropologie.

Outfit Two:
Dress: Zimmermann via Anthropologie also seen here, Clutch and earrings: Anthropologie

I bought this dress at Anthropologie about a year ago, maybe even two years, but I love it so much. I feel like it's a dress you only wear somewhere tropical. I have have worn it twice, once in Bangkok and now Honolulu, maybe I'll try Denver next. Even though it's not tropical.

Outfit Three:
Necklace: Anthropologie

Hawaii was fabulous but I am happy to be home back with my boys aka the dogs and back at work. Hope you are enjoying the nice spring weather. JH
